The Luxury Sedan Audi A8 released for the 2011 model year will be a great choice for the users of luxury sedans. The company thinks that the car’s lightweight aluminum body and the standard feature of all-wheel drive is enough to allure the users for making this a part of their garage. However, this doesn’t mean that these are the only features the car has to offer. The Audi A8 of the current generation comes with all the modern technical upgrades that are required for a car of today. This generation of the Audi A8 has witnessed a transformation of a car from its Indie status to a real blockbuster.
The 2011 model of the A8 is much wider, longer and lower compared to its previous models. This is more evident in the Audi A8’s ‘L’ or the long wheelbase version. With its current model, the car can claim itself as the largest luxury sedan available in the market. However, the company has made sure that the size of the A8 should not interfere with their strategy of keeping the cars lightweight. Even after increasing the width and length of the car, the A8 still weighs a lot less that most of the other luxury sedans available today. This is primarily due to the aluminum construction of these cars.
The company has also made sure that the 2011 Audi is categorized among the cars with excellent engine specifications. This year’s A8 model is powered by a direct injected V-8 engine with a capacity of 4.2l. The engine can produce up to 372 HP. The engine of the A8 is mated with the new 8-speed automatic transmissions. This not only boosts the performance of the car, but also improves its fuel economy significantly. As the 2011 Audi A8 is equipped with all-wheel drive system, it automatically comes with much sportier driving technologies. While in a normal driving condition, the power gets split 60% towards the rear and 40% towards the front. However, if required up to 80% of the power can be passed rearward.
The car has every feature that a luxury sedan fan will look for. The company has not excluded a single feature of the last A8 model that was loved by the customers and included a range of fresh features.
